To all the Octalians, I convey my best wishes on this 76th Independence day. More than a national holiday, the day is a festival of freedom for all of us. The festival is a gift by generations of freedom fighters, some known, many unknown. They made great sacrifices in bringing back India its glory and pride. Today as you and I breathe under free skies, do not forget to bow in respect to their heroic deeds.
This year’s celebration is special, as we are emerging from the dark clouds of the pandemic and isolation—the times of pain, fear, and heartbreaking losses.
As an Entrepreneur, I take pride in working with a young community brimming with self-confidence. We are scaling new heights by working extremely hard. It feels like Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s vision is turning into reality.
“Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power.”
The team is highly inspired by our brave hearts and believes no goal is too far to achieve. They portray independence in terms of Gen Z. For them, independence is to have the ability to showcase, upscale, and live their potential without hampering the rights of others. Each of us has individual dreams and goals, and independence plays a significant role in reaching those goals.
I am impressed how the youngsters in the team understand their responsibility of helping their colleagues and obtain their goals by maintaining their independence.
One cannot achieve independence with a “Working for Myself” attitude. We as a team have to work together for independence to take the face we want it to have.
This generation has defined a new meaning for mankind. They aren’t consumed a bit by their differences. Their shared interests unite them.
Seventy-five years ago, when the country gained independence, many thought the democracy in India wouldn’t survive. They never realized the roots of democracy were nurtured in ancient India, and in modern times, we stand ahead of many western countries in offering franchises to all, regardless of any differences.
Our constitution repose our faith in the intellect of the people, and “We, the people of India” gives a strong sense of unity.
We do stand ahead of many, yet we’re grounded. I am sometimes amazed to see the wisdom young India portrays in each step. They celebrate the smallest wins and acknowledge that we still have a long way to go in fulfilling our individual dreams, achieving the organization’s objectives, and turning the dreams of those who have bestowed this freedom into a reality.
The dream we as an organization and at large as a nation see together is Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. The strength and faith to build the country of our dreams come to us from various resources. The generation inherits it from eternity.
From venerable seers in ancient times to sages to men who prospered, to Bravehearts who fought, and to the leaders of modern times. I am hopeful for a prosperous and peaceful India in the next 25 years when we will be celebrating 100 years of our independence.
I am obliged to see the dedication of the youth and how smartly they negotiate the twists and turns they face. I don’t know if I should be proud, overwhelmed, or a little boastful for working with a team that is dedicated to its goals and dreams. A team that inspires all of us to work for better lives, a better nation, and a better world!
I wish you a very Happy Independence Day once again.
Jai Hind!
